About Us The Kronke Ranch is located in the hills of the beautiful Willamette Valley southwest of the city of Eugene, Oregon. Our small orchard produces high quality hazelnuts offered primarily for sale at the Eugene Farmers Market. Most of our cultivation and harvesting is done by hand. Trutz and Elke Kronke emigrated from Germany and purchased the ranch in 1976. This unique location has provided a wonderful lifestyle and has given us the opportunity to be very diversified. In addition to hazelnuts, we raise organic beef, grow Nobel fir Christmas trees, have a 60 year old Douglas fir timber stand. Our son, Jan, builds rustic cabins, playhouses, and sheds with the use of a portable sawmill.
